KITEN BECOMES A TOWN
The government made a decision to announce the village of Kiten as a town. The town will be under the jurisdiction of Primorsko municipal in the state of Bourgas. The village is one of the fastest developing resort sites on the seaside and a major tourism center. This is the main reason for the change of its administrative statute. In 1967 Kiten was announced as a republican sea resort. Kiten has a social and technical infrastructure- a whole day kindergarten, elementary school, health care, police station, electricity etc. Its inhibitors are using high tech communications, well organized transport with year- round lines to the municipal and state center and to all of the towns on the seaside. The number of the permanent inhabitants of Kiten is 1010. This was announced by the governmental information office.
