From Keith Rowe From England, sent on 31 October 2003 Golden Sands is an ideal holiday centre for families and couples.Good weather, safe sandy beaches and good variety eateries.Hotels are reasonally good if you go 3* upwards (be aware the food may be different to what you are used to!).Transport:-Taxi;arrange a price before your journey;Bus;cheap form of travel but be prepared to play sadines!.Some Coach trips can be fairly expensive shop around. A trip to Varna is worth considering, try the museums and the cathredral. If you are a pizza fan head for Godzillas, Pizza Hut will cost four times as much.Do not be tempted to change money in the sreet, use the hotel or banks. Have a pleasent holiday. Keith |

From milan kovac From czech, sent on 18 October 2003 We wore at Golden Sands with my wife and the kids this summer. It was very good. There is many restorants and bars and atractions for the kids. Beach was great - nice "golden" sands - cleaner than Spain. Water was warm and there is ni any dangerous animals and plantes in it - nice when you are with the kids. Food is cheap - four dinners , two bottles of wine , deserts - $15. Last year in Spain we had to count all the time our monney - this year we felt like kings. We heard that isn't the best idea to exchange money aniwhere else but a bank. Nex year we are going to Bulgarsko again , but we'll go to Sunny Beach this time - we went to vizit it and Nesebur - very nice places. We are taking our relatives with us - they didn't like it a lot in Greece - too expensive. See you in Sunny Beach |

From Russell From Scotland, sent on 06 July 2003 Hi just got back from golden sands on friday 4th of july 2003 the resort is fantastic for everything. we are a family of four the two kids are seven and ten. we stayed at the hotel varshava which is to say the least very basic don't get me wrong its clean and the most of the staff are freindly and helpfull but the rooms are very small and basic. we stayed on tenth floor at the back there can be a lot of noise at night and first thing in the mornig from the main road which runs along the back of the hotel. we were lucky we had a family room a friend we met was in a single room with his daughter and it was well shocking. also there's no air con conditioning so ecspect to be cooked if you go july or august.apart from that the pool was good for the kids you can go to any hotel pool and there's a lot better than the varshava's but you will have to pay for the sun beds'. but a word of warning under no circumstanes try to change money on the street we heard all stories about the con men and trust me they are all true. but we met a lot of great poeple and made new friends so we will maybe go back next year |
