From Sally Brown From England, sent on 27 August 2004 We had a fantastic holiday in Bulgaria. Upon arrival at the Bravo Apartments we were bitterley disappointed. There were 10 of us and, although we knew we would be in two apartments, we didn't realise they'd be as far apart as they were. However, no problem. The apartments were stunning to say the least! We had maid service, air conditioning, sky TV, washing machine - what more could we ask for? The only bad point was that we didn't know and weren't told by our tour operator that these apartments were all privately owned and that the owners had purchased sunbeds for their own use! Very convenient when there is only two of you but there was 5 per apartment here. We spent the first week in the sunshine in the morning and then in the shade until we got really fed up of it - we'd paid for our holiday too! We then started using the other sunbeds but were told that if the apartment owners/guests wanted them then we had to vacate. Not the most relaxing situation but we were determined not to let it spoil anything. We were in Bravo 2 (there are 1 and 3 also)which didn't have very good drainage when there was a good downpour. We had to paddle everywhere. The staff in the pool bar and their owners were not very friendly at all and sometimes we were made to feel most uncomfortable. This was very unfortunate because all the other locals, the maids and the other Bulgarian people we met whilst there were only too kind and friendly. We would certainly visit Sunny Beach again but would not stay at the Bravo Apartments purely because of the unfriendliness around the bar area. We didn't let it spoil our holiday however - we had a wonderful time!!!!! |
