From Torsten and Else From Sweden, sent on 01 November 2003 Hi everybody, we have been reading some of the comments about Sunny Beach. To all of you that are haveing complaints, sorry, you have either been on the wrong hotel or during the wrong season. We have been there five times, maybe not much but still. Everytime we have been there we have had a great time. The people down there are so nice and friendly and just want to help you out. We have been lucky. we have met some people that have become very good friends, just mention 2 of them, Baywatch Peter, this year tower 17 on the beach and Deijan, musician at the Dreams Bar. Theses two gays we love from all of our heart. Regarding food we can recomend the Fenix restaurant and the Black and White restaurant, the food is superb. We have falling in love with Sunny Beach and will go down there next year, 2004, for 3 weeks and just enjoy the stay down there. Greatings to all of you Torsten and Else from sweden |

From Maureen From England, sent on 23 October 2003 I visited Bulgaria in June with my daughter, we had a fantastic time although the Hotel Continental (2 star) was not very nice. We found the Bulagarians very friendly, the food in our hotel was awful so we ate out at the brothers restraunt this was very cheap but very nice. We return to bulgaria in August 2004. |

From Kalina From Bulgaria, sent on 21 October 2003 Hi all!:)I'm bulgarian and I want to advise you something that I think it's veri important for you!Be verry careful when you come here!Keep yourself from thiefs and snatch thiefs!We have a lot!Many of foreigners think that it's safe here but its not unfortunately!The thiefs wait about foreigners and rob them! Also many of the staff in the hotels works and thinks only about money and the people aren't kind!But not all of them!There is very kind and amiable too!I'm very unhappy cause many of the foreigners thinks that Bulgarians are bad people!But there is many good people too!The foreigners stay with sinful impressions about bulgarians!Not all of us are bad people!BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU COME IN BG!All you need in good luck and you just should fall among nice people! From Jade From Edinburgh, sent on 21 October 2003 This was our first time to Sunny Beach and will definately be our last, we stayed at the Kuban Hotel. Which was terrible, the food was rotten, the staff were horrible in fact all the Bulgarian people are not very friendly unless you are giving them your money that is. I would much rather spend more money and go to Greece or spain. The shops sell nothing but crap and are only out to rip you off, their food is disgusting unless you are a german and there is no nightlife, pubs or bars. You have to make do with cafe's or restraunts. All in all this holiday was a complete waste of money. The only good thing I would say about Bulgaria is that the weather was nice but not as hot as spain or greece in Aug and their beach was nice. Also be very careful when choosing accomodation because most places we seen were not fit for a pig to sleep in never mind a human. No wonder they have their on Balkan brochure as no tour operators in the UK in the right mind would advertise for them!! |
