From DARREN DRYSDALE From ENGLAND, sent on 10 September 2004 Just returned from the hell hole called Sunny beach, what a nightmare, me and my wife are both in our mid fiftys and thought that the place seems cheap and cheerful, well cheap is the main word there as nothing is worth buying, it's the sort of stuff you get a t a local sunday boot market, cheerful is used in the term that the locals are cheerful that for some unknown reason visitors turn up year after year, but it would be my guess not the same one, anybosy who tells you to visit Bulgaria cos they liked it, is not your friend, they only want you to suffer what they have suffered, the food was stale at best hense the term cheap, the drink was cheap but piss like, the Bulgarian people like only Germans, and believe me there are lots there, which is more than be said for the things in the shops, very repetative, don't be fooled into thinking that at least there is entertainment at your hotel, it's never in english and very poor, it might appeal to the deafand blind over nineties, which come to think of it was who where putting on the show. Despite the sun shining, we would NEVER go anywhere near the place again, marks out of ten -5 Darren and Betty |

From Marie, Neil , & Owen From Dudley, UK, sent on 09 September 2004 We went to Sunny Beach with Balkan, Departing on the 13th August 2004. We stayed at the Hotel Palas, Which is a 3 star. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The food was ok, There seemed to be nearly the same on offer most nights. Sunny beach resort was fantastic, If you have kids there is so much for them to do. We went on a day trip to the Dolphin show, Varna, and Golden Sands. If it is something you really want to do, Then do it. We found the day very rushed, we spent most of the day on the coach. Varna is not the best of places. If you want to eat out we went to Sunny Dreams Restaurant, The food was lovely. We must have liked our holiday, We have booked to go back to the same hotel next year. |

From maria From finland, sent on 07 September 2004 We just got back from Sunny Beach, we stayed at Hotel Tedi, the rooms where clean but the pool was horrible and the personel was not very friendly. The weather was great. Nesebar was a nice little village. But dont go to Burgas, it's ugly and there is nothing to shop or to see. I cant say we found a restaurant that was very good but the chicken kebab by the beach was. The people in general was very unfriendly, maybe because it was in the end of the season and the where tired?? There are a lot of shops , but the all sell the same stuff more or less. I would never go back even if the place is cheap. |
