From Steve From England, sent on 23 September 2004 Got back from a two week holiday in Sunny beach on 18th of September 2004. Stayed at the Svejest hotel, which is the most horrible hotel that I have ever stayed in. It was supposed to be 3 star, but i would not give it 1. The rooms and the food are discusting and the hotel staff for the main are rude. The resort itself is ok, the beach is long and wide but littered with dog-ends (we also found a used condom). The sea was full of jelly fish (must be the time of year) but the water was warm. There are plenty of cheap places to eat and drink in Sunny beach (Djannys, sharkies bar and The fat cat), however it got a bit repetative towards the end and I felt that two weeks was too long. Khans tent is a very good night out and the near by village of Nessebar is a must. If you are going be careful at night along the beach prom as there are pick-pockets and prostitutes. All the best. |

From vicki devlin From england, sent on 17 September 2004 I returned on monday from sunny beach bulgaria, had a wonderful 2 weeks, stayed at the bravo apartments which were really lovely, much more to do and see than i expected and much bigger than i thought it would be. The beach is wonderful, lovely and clean , and the sea was safe for swimming. Not much to buy in the shopping department except sports clothing and crystal, found that the only drawback. Really excellent value for money on everything, really cheap, we were getting 3 levs to the pound which a lev was about 30p, which is what we were paying for a pint of beer. A three course meal and drinks all night for 20 pounds for three of us cant be bad. Im already looking to book to go back next year. Bulgaria are joining the EU in 2007, so maybe wont be so cheap then, so if youre thinking about visiting, id do it before then. Really lovely place with plenty to do for all ages. Unforgettable holiday. |

From Paula and Andy From Engla, sent on 16 September 2004 Ive just returned from a week in Sunny Beach with my Boyfriend, weather wasnt too good as its end of season but couldnt really fault anything else. Dont stay at the Kristal 1 or 2 as there is no pool and lots of Germans and Staff arent nice. You must try the Condor restaurant and cocktail bar next door to it food is great and really cheap (38 for 2 meals 2 cokes and 2 beers). Watch out for men with snakes and crocodiles near beach and be careful of pickpockets, dolphine show is really good but theres nothing in Varna, were definately going back next year !! |

From louise From england, sent on 12 September 2004 i am 14 and have only been to bulgaria twice, and both times to sunny beach.i went this summer and last summer and they were the best holidays ive ever been on in my life.i stayed at the Hotel Diamond, where the staff were very kind and helpful, although most of them did not speak a word of english.me and my family were especially good friends with the lifeguards at our hotel, who were very friendly and always having fun.i spent most of my time across the road at Bobby's Bar, which is owned by Nicholas and his daughter, Valeriya, works there full time.I would advise anyone to go on holiday to Bulgaria, for all of the above reasons. for anyone who is considering going, september is the best time to go, as it is too hot to really have a good time if you go in the middle of summer.thankyou for taking 5 minutes out of your life to read this, and i very much hope you take my advice. i can assure you you will not regret it |
