Bar shut at midnight, no entertainment, 180sunbeds for 1100 guests. Builders removing plaster off walls on high floor with kango, 10am-10pm, noise right through hotel. Victoria Palace looks posh, but do'nt be fooled. Sunny Beach is fantastic, lots of bars & can't go wrong eating out. |

From Avril Lane From Ireland, sent on 06 November 2004 I went to Sunny Beach last August for 1 week on a girlie holiday (Mum with 2 kids and very nice husband). Just booked my flights to Bulgaria for all my family for the months of June/July 2005. Can't wait to get back there. I've been pretty much to all of Europe, America and Bermuda. Bulgarian people are some of the nicest/friendliest people I have met on my travels. There is no cut throat tourism mentality as you would find in places like Marbella (where I thought I was a walking Euro). In fact I felt so welcome and happy there that when I came back we bought an apartment there. Bulgaria seem to have got the balance exactly right between commerclialism and culture. I hope they don't loose this character when they join the EU in 2007. Sunny beach is one of the cleanest sun resorts I've been in and 90% of the hotels are of a very good quality. Typically we stay four/five star and their hotels would meet our requirements. Top notch! We stayed in the Neptune Beach which was fine because it was a last minute deal. It is on the beach in the centre of the bay, the restaurant staff where extremely nice however the food did get a little boring near the end of the holiday. More variety would have been better regarding meats. Bulgarian restaraunts cater for German, Scandanavian and Greek palattes. Food organic, fresh and healthy. However, on hols you like a bit of richness and a lot of variety to your food. This was the only thing I could complain about. All in all enjoyed everything about Sunny Beach, Nessebar, St Vlas, Robinzon, Elenite and I know my children will be well entertained next year. It is great for families with young children and teenagers there is so much to do there. |

Lovely people especially the ladies. Hello to everyone at the Happy Duck, especially Diana Koleva and Geri downstairs at tropicanas! Best clubs to go to? Lazur and Iceberg!!! Still thinking about the place I have to go back!!! Restaurants were very good value for money, cheap beer and peeps from everywhere, plenty to see and do day and nite! Will be back next year! |
