From Dani From Bulgaria, sent on 22 March 2005 Hi all, I am Bulgarian and I must say that Sunny Beach is the best "big" resort on the BG Black Sea coast. Golden Sands, Albena and everything else on the northern coast is much more commercial and full of foreigners; in Sunny Beach you can see alot of Bulgarian people, also young. Nessebar is near and offers nice restaurants, discos, an open air cinema; the beach of Ravda is nice too, there are several nude beaches as well (although if you are a nudist you should go to Sozopol or Primorsko). Clubs and bars change every year, so check out everything that looks new; basically follow the crowd and the noise. Most of the restaurants are OK, they renovate them every year anyway. Be careful for your personal assets, use the little safety boxes in the hotels to leave your passport. Bring with you little cash only. Not that it is very bad but some people might try and take advantage of you; just keep your eyes open but do not let such thoughts to spoil your vacation. Buy local prepaid GSM cards as roaming is expensive. Food and drinks are not expensive 5-10 euro for a meal and beer, beer - 1-2 euro, long drinks - 3-5 euro 50ml. |
