Do not complain that hotels in Sunny Beach are scrap when you pay such amount of money! And next time when you decide to go to Istanbul book with your tour-operator, you'll be more satisfied. Remember to take a favourite photo with you as the street artists up at the Melina restaurant are brilliant and cheap too! The Melina serves great food and the staff are lovely, they actually remember you each season you go back.Don.t worry about age to the couple in their 50,s You can do whatever you want it,s your holiday and Bulgaria is so laid back. Dont go over the top packing loads of fancy gear, a special couple of outfits for larger Restaurants, and smart but casual does the trick. If you love chinese food there are two in sunny beach down from the Mercury Hotel just past the cocktail bar,hold me back!!! HUGE portions 1 would do 2 and again cheap cheap cheap. Enjoy Sunny Beach. |

From Charlie From scotland, sent on 29 April 2005 Hi my husband and I took our kids to Sunny Beach 1st time in 1991. Fabulous. We are going back in 4weeks time with our sons,wives and baby Laila. We went last year our two selves and stayed at the Sun Palace...crap. This year we are going to back to our usual... The Lulin, opp the beach, lovely cocktail bars near by and a short walk up the road to catch the bus to Nessebur. fare was 1lev for 2 adults. Nessebur is a busy place now as Sunny Beach is too. You are gauranteed a fab holiday,friendly people whatever age you are. It,s like stepping off the world for a few weeks. Trip to istanbul? theres an office up at the post office over the main road from the Kuban who does tours. Very good but by bus, Leaves early in the morning but be sure to have something light underneath your warmer clothes as when u reach Istanbul u have lunch THEN the tour in boiling sun then to your hotel for overnight stay, Bazaars wonderful. if your blonde be ready for the cars tooting and the men bowing. One more thing take to Istanbul trip Levs then change to turkish lira and euros.b4 border only take levs. Have a great time !!! |
