From Sheila From Ireland, sent on 23 July 2005 Stayed in Svejest hotel - staff lovely - Thanks Nikki, Pepa and Andrew and all others (don't know names) resort fantatic - hotel 5 mins walk from beach) Outside every restaurant is a person to try and get you in. Best thing to do is not to just walk in anywhere - you'll get better service if you allow yourself to be "persuaded" to come in. Food in resort fantastic and really cheap. Will definitely go back but for 2 weeks at least. Roads terrible and drivers insane - would NOT recommend car hire/drive holiday! Khan's tent a highly enjoyable night out. Brothers restaurant (thanks Pavlin) fantastic. Please remember Bulgaria very poor country and the people there are just trying to make a living. Not too many Gypsies in Sunny Beach - seems like the Bulgarians don't like them at all!- Frantastic place - would really really recommend it. The men there don't bother you at all unlike some other places I've been. Use Crown money exchange huts which give better rates of exchange than even the hotel exchanges. Buglarian people fantastic! Nessbar beautiful but be aware that necklace sellers will put necklaces on you and then charge whatever they think you can afford for them!! |
