From Charly McVey From Paisley/Scotland, sent on 19 September 2005 Out here in Sunny Beach Just now, just about to start my second week. Only 1 complaint, the weather today was rubbish! The weather for the next few days is also rubbish. But to sumarise, staying in ther Wella Hotel, 150 meters from the beach. Very nice hotel and the cleaners work like mad to keep it that way. Only complaint is the bar prices are steep compaired to the pubs etc but that's normal for any hotel. Have seen the Bear, just ignored it and the Gypsy kids, just ignored them. Really nice place though with a lot of building going on all around but so so cheap! Seriously, the nearer the beach is more expensive but still really cheap, good selection of food etc. Not been to Club Orange as it is closed now for the winter so can't comment on it but managed to get to the closing night of danceclubmania. (www.danceclubmania.com) This club is something else so check out the website!! All in all enjoying myself and apart from rubbish weather I have no complaints. Next year I shall come back but a bit earlier in the season as it's starting to wind down just now. Oh should comment all the people in clubs and bars have been pleasant and nice, same goes for our hotel staff. Anyways if you are heading here you should enjoy it as long as the weather is good. PS. went out ysterday spent all day down the beach had lunch then out later, had dinner then pubs and cubs till about 0200am then staggered back to the hotel. Between me and my GF the whole day worked out at 37 pounds!!! |

From Paula From England, sent on 18 September 2005 A big thanks to Jo from England. After reading the lengthy and awful review of Sunny Beach, I was expecting the worst from my holiday. So I was really surprised when I got there to find it was actually really good. It was pretty much the same as any purpose built tourist resort, only much cheaper! I found the people there really friendly, especially if you make the effort to learn a few Bulgarian words. I will no doubt be going back there next year, probably taking a few friends along too. On the whole, their standards are a little behind ours, but I would recommend it to anyone. |

From Gus From England, sent on 11 September 2005 To Jo from England, obviously you were too drunk to be bothered to move your backside to visit Nessabar, or are you one who believes everybody should serve english meals and speak english in there own country why don't you just go to Bognor regis in future, the people of Bulgaria are very friendly the food is excellent, unlike my last visit to Turkey (food poisoning for 3 wks)obviously you get what you pay for, the newer hotels are excellent I myself have an apartment on the outskirts of Sunny beach and have never had problems, I would recommend Bulgaria to anybody, Better that the rest of the rip off locations around the world. |
