From Paula, Chester From England, sent on 01 July 2006 Hi, this is mainly for the benefit of Lauren (26th June) or anyone else wondering about the Pomerie Hotel. I stayed there on my first visit to SB last September. The Hotel had just been re-furbished (though it looked like it was done on a budget). The room we got was clean & tidy, but very small, so we requested to upgrade, which cost about Ј9 extra per night and the room was massive! Well worth the upgrade. If you like clubbing you're in a good spot coz it's right across from Club Lazur. Though in my opinion Disco Orange is better. Anyway, I'm sure you'll love it. Me and my fella are going back for the third time next week and I can't wait! |

From Mandy From England, sent on 25 June 2006 Just reading through everyones comments, just though I would mention a few things which may help you guys. I have been to Bulgaria 8 times now and love it, we have just got back and had nother fab time. Someone asked about the Majestic Hotel, I have'nt stayed here but we stayed next dorr last year at the Fiesta Beach and the Majestic looked superb, we heard good reports about it aswell. it is at the quiter end of the resort but really inly 20 mins away from the main centre, it is somewhere where I would definatkey consider staying. Someone mentioned the dancing bears. Although it is illeagal it still goes on unfortunatley, mainly in the main towns like Varna and Bourgas but you will see them wandering through the resorts and even some hotel grounds, it is a disgrace, but there is nothing anyone can do even though it is illegal. I will say though, that over the 4 years I have being going to Bulgaria, you are seeing the bears less and less, we only saw one this year wandering at the back of our hotel, The Meridien. Hope this helps. |
