From beth From bulgaria, sent on 03 August 2006 we went 2 sunny beach in june, it was great!! we stayed in the hotel Orpheus. only a small hotel, but beautiful. the rooms were spotless. cleaned everyday.beds were very comfy. had airconditioning. which was good as it got very hot!!!! the food was good a great variety.the staff worked flat out and still had a smile for u.the pool was great, always kept clean, had happy hour every nite for 2 hours.the resort itself was good plenty 2 do.lots of shops and stalls selling everything.didn't see many beggars this year there are 2 waterparks. one is nearby in hotel kuban. bungee jumps, simulators are found on the main strip. the most thing that annoyed me was the mopeds idiot kids zooming up & down the promenade it can be so busy at times as they are mini trains and horse& carriages going up and down at the same time. you can get the boat over to a wee fishing village called nessebar which is lovely (lots of shopping). the younger ones have plenty of choice for the nitelife. this resort is very cheap. found it hard 2 spend all of my money would recommend it |

From joyce From bulgaria, sent on 03 August 2006 we were in sunny beach in june2006. thought it was great. the beach was nice, a few jellyfish. u have to pay for the sunloungers (5 levs) the food was good especially the kebabs. lots of bungee jumps for the kids. there's also afunfair+ horrorwood.go to carribbies for a drink happyhour lasts for ages. there's a great floorshow in the dolphin resteraunt. most entertainment can be found in hotels. but all the resteraunts have bands or kareoke. there's a good few discos in the resort too. shopping was great very cheap. u can get around the resort by mini train (2 levs) money goes far in this resort. we actually came back with some. always change ure money at the bank they give the best rates. |

From andrea From bulgaria, sent on 31 July 2006 cant believe the change in sunny beach since we visited 2004, so many more hotels and soooo busy! sorry but after four years of visiting bulgaria for me it is just not the same friendly resort it used to be and the prices are slowly creeping up although still cheap compared to rest europe. balkan topolov planes really should be put out of service they have been dodgy in the past but a totall disgrace this year(if not illegal!!) |
