From D Shortridge From UK, sent on 04 November 2006 I recently (oct) spent 2 weeks in Sunny Beach with Balkan Holidays. Not only are their planes shabby but their hotels resemble prison blocks and the food is disgusting. Naturally, I went to the resort office to complain to the highest person available. I was faced by possibly the RUDEST man I have ever met, I think his name was Darrel. You should NOT consider balkan holidays if you are planning a trip to this beautiful country. |

From Barry From Ireland, sent on 27 October 2006 Hello everybody I am reading all your comments and I am writing now. I nave been on a holiday in Sunny Beach resort for many years. I stay in hotel Polyusi named also Sever/Yug every time and it is nice enough for the value. It is cleaned daily, the food is delicious. There are lot of facilities and the staff is very good and helpful. I like the trips they organize and I recommend to everybody to visit The Sozopol Ripotamo river.I spend a really great time in Bulgaria and visit it every year. I have already many friends in Polyusi hotel and we keep in contact. I am coming back in September and I hope to have a great time again. Barry W. |

From Mollie From Scotland, sent on 12 October 2006 Just back from my stay at the Laguna Park hotel, which was very nice! Hotel is great for kids, excellent pool, lacking in entertainment though. Rooms are spotless and all have a balcony. A lot of people were moaning about the breakfast, I personally liked it, plenty of choice (to those that don't like food the way they'd have it at home - don't leave home!!!! Hello, you're in a foriegn country!!!!) Sunny beach itself was lovely, spotless beach, lots of choices for where to eat (recommend Bermuda, Tropicana, Djani's). To my fellow Scots - avoid Millie's British Bar; she plays favourites with the kids contests. They had a drawing contest, the manager Elaine asked someone from the crowd to pick the winner (lovely wee woman from Newcastle!) she picked my friends wee boy, who was all proud of himself for winning, when elaine overruled it and picked a wee English girl. She did the same with the kids darts competition - Not fair on the kids!!! I had a great time, and would go back again! PS If the gorgeous German guy reading 'Irak' by the pool at Laguna Park first week in October sees this, please get in touch - had just worked up the nerve to talk to you, then you left! |
