From Grahame From England, sent on 07 July 2006 We were in the Albena Beach Club from 12-26 of June this year (06) A quick resume.... We cant fault the food selection at any mealtimes. The choice and variety was wonderful. Hot food and cold. Always fresh. Very well presented and displayed. The resturaunt staff were superb. Always busy keeping the displays filled up and clean.Elena kept everything under control very well !! The hotel complex was always very clean and tidy. All the staff were wonderful. The reception staff, cleaners, waiters and waitresses were like busy little bees. As soon as your knife and fork were put down your plate was removed. The animation staff were great too. Look out though Plam will get you up and doing all sorts of energetic stuff !!Always entertaining the kids as well as the adults. Even the pool staff of "The boss" the Doctor and his helper were super. All ways looking to help and assist.Very informative as well. A mine of local information as were the reception staff. Even at some unearthly hour of the morning.!! The bar staff??? Well wonderful. All of them. I cant name them as I cant remember how to spell thier names but you will soon find out. The snack bar in the day and the lobby bar in the evenings were great. We went into the town a couple of times for a mael but were a little dissapointed. We tried the Rai. Entertainment excellent. Food not so good. In the bazaar at the back of the "playboy club" off the beach walk, the other side is at the end of the stalls in the "market" street, there is a little bar/ snack bar that sells a big beer for 1lev (About 40p) and a super sausage roll for 1 lev 20, so you can have lunch and a beer for about 85p !! Value indeed!! If you come out of the hotel on the beach, turn right and walk for about 20-30 mins through the nudist beach ( Just avert your eyes Mrs) you will come to a group of resturaunts and bars. The first one is Super. Lunch of Steak, bowl of salad, desserts, two bottles of good Chardonnay and a copious amount of beers came to 88 Lev (about Ј35)Excellent value again !!! Go on the "Bulgarian Discovery" Trip if you can. An excellent day out, lots to see, lots to drink and eat. Also visit Nessebar on a trip if you like little old places.A look into Bulgaria which is a wonderful country. We will be back. Hope this has been of some use. Grahame. South Devonshire. |

From Lucy From England, sent on 01 July 2006 Just got back from Albena a few days ago. The place is dead after 11/12 am and the entertainment everywhere seems to be the same. (Dead cheesey music)! Its good for families cos there's lots of things for kids to do BUT prostitutes are out and about all over the place during the day and night! We actually seen one bring her customers under our balcony most nights! Dont think she enjoyed the bottle of water she got over her head! Hehe Anyway, we made the most of it by sunnin up on the beach and going to Tropical Bar and Golden Sands by Taxi. Enjoy... |

From billy thomson From scotland, sent on 27 June 2006 just returned yesterday from 2 weeks in drujba hotel with our wee pal hartlepool jimmy, excellent as usual. my 2 grandsons enjoyed every minute as ivan let them work behind bar, and pavlina the hotel manageress and her staff made us very welcome. anyone going to see zak or vinnie at the bar will be disappointed as zak has his own bar now and vinnie now works as a car mechanic in dobrech |
