From Worcester Sauce From England, sent on 13 October 2007 Having just returned from the Albena Beach Club on 5th Oct 2007, all I can say is we must have stayed in a different hotel, it was the last full week of the hotels season and things were really bad, beer served in plastic or paper cups, that was before the beer ran out along with several other types of drinks including diet/light coke, (but you could buy them from the bar after 11:00 pm when the all inclusive bar had finished .........). Food was served warm, never hot, staff handling food with bare hands, on one occassion the snck bar chef actually was seen playing with a stray dog from the beech before making pizzas. As for variety of food it was the same food every mealtime, and would frequently run out if you did not get to the dining room at the start of the mealtime. Not mentioned before we booked, and not mentioned on this site is the fact that if you want to use the jacuzzi, there is a charge of about 8 lev (Ј3) for 10 minutes, a matress for the sun bed 3 lev per day. The staff apart from Jorge who works in the shop were ignorant and sometime rude. I cannot imagine how this can be the same hotel as described in previous comments, and to my knowledge there will be at least 30 letters of complaint sent to varios travel companies when people return to the UK. |

From veronica gamble From ireland, sent on 25 August 2007 We visited albena beach club hotel in july 2007.We had a problem with our accommmodation as the hotel was fully booked on our arrival! The hotel was very clean staff friendly the guys in the shop in the hotel were the nicest people you could meet.I thought the food was fine and the variety was good.I have to say there were too many children at the hotel, by the pool crying children by the beach crying children.I would not recommend this hotel to young couples!! The beach was fantastic and the location of the hotel itself. The entertainment at the hotel was poor! The reception staff were friendly and not forgetting the bar staff! our first week was spent living out off our suitcase, as we were put in accommodation that we should not have been in at the start knowing that we just could not relax. Overall a great hotel if you have a family not for the couples or people wanted a relaxing holiday. |

From Bev From Oldham, England, sent on 21 August 2007 I have just returned from the Albena Beach Club August 2007, and could not fault the hotel. After booking I read a number of comments on various websites and was a little concerned. I went with my husband, 13 year old son and mother 72. We all found the hotel excellent, clean, good choice of food always fresh and lots of it. We had a sea view room with excellent views of a lovely, clean and not busy beach. It was my birthday while I was there and the staff presented me with a birthday cake and came into the dining room to sing 'Happy Birthday', we will be returning again very soon. Excellent holiday. |
