Albena beach resort in Bulgaria hosts an international tennis tournament „Albena open 2013” with a prize of $ 10,000. The competition is part of the ITF calendar and grants ranking points. Top tennis players from 11 countries - Bulgaria, France, Czech Republic, Belgium, Turkey, Russia, Romania, Netherlands, Macedonia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The upcoming event is part of a long-term strategy of Albena to establish itself as a place for tennis holidays, camps and conduction of sports competitions for all ages and all levels.
During the last two years Albena is organizing the most prestigious tennis tournaments in Bulgaria for children up to 8 and 10 years, and this summer is also the official partner of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation. For the next 2 years, Albena resort holds the right to host also the summer state championships for players up to 12, 14, 16 and 18 years. Thus, Albena will become one of the most attractive tennis destinations in Europe.
