Having just returned from the Albena Beach Club on 5th Oct 2007, all I can say is we must have stayed in a different hotel, it was the last full week of the hotels season and things were really bad, beer served in plastic or paper cups, that was before the beer ran out along with several other types of drinks including diet/light coke, (but you could buy them from the bar after 11:00 pm when the all inclusive bar had finished .........). Food was served warm, never hot, staff handling food with bare hands, on one occassion the snck bar chef actually was seen playing with a stray dog from the beech before making pizzas. As for variety of food it was the same food every mealtime, and would frequently run out if you did not get to the dining room at the start of the mealtime. Not mentioned before we booked, and not mentioned on this site is the fact that if you want to use the jacuzzi, there is a charge of about 8 lev (3) for 10 minutes, a matress for the sun bed 3 lev per day. The staff apart from Jorge who works in the shop were ignorant and sometime rude. I cannot imagine how this can be the same hotel as described in previous comments, and to my knowledge there will be at least 30 letters of complaint sent to varios travel companies when people return to the UK.

We visited albena beach club hotel in july 2007.We had a problem with our accommmodation as the hotel was fully booked on our arrival! The hotel was very clean staff friendly the guys in the shop in the hotel were the nicest people you could meet.I thought the food was fine and the variety was good.I have to say there were too many children at the hotel, by the pool crying children by the beach crying children.I would not recommend this hotel to young couples!! The beach was fantastic and the location of the hotel itself. The entertainment at the hotel was poor! The reception staff were friendly and not forgetting the bar staff! our first week was spent living out off our suitcase, as we were put in accommodation that we should not have been in at the start knowing that we just could not relax. Overall a great hotel if you have a family not for the couples or people wanted a relaxing holiday.

I have just returned from the Albena Beach Club August 2007, and could not fault the hotel. After booking I read a number of comments on various websites and was a little concerned. I went with my husband, 13 year old son and mother 72. We all found the hotel excellent, clean, good choice of food always fresh and lots of it. We had a sea view room with excellent views of a lovely, clean and not busy beach. It was my birthday while I was there and the staff presented me with a birthday cake and came into the dining room to sing 'Happy Birthday', we will be returning again very soon. Excellent holiday.

I have just arrived from a one week holiday at Albena Beach Club. At first I was goging to stay at Hotel Gergana (about 100 m away from Albena Beach Club) but it was full at arrival so I got ABC instead. I can agree with all previous writers, the hotel, food and beach was great. The only annoying thing was the disco music played at all time (OBS! repeat), listening to the same songs 24/7 was a little bit boring...

Theres no entertainment in the hotel at night but u do get invited to the hotel next door and can get ur all inclusive things from the S bar the weather wasnt great but i did get a tan i was really shocked when i noticed the room had carpet in it i thought i was back home lol. i do have to say the bulgarians are very friendy and understanding if u say no they understand i did use the word TOMORROW alot HAHA things are very cheap i only spent 180.00 pounds and i did go to romania for the day GREAT. the beach is probably one of the cleanist i have ever seen and the streets and gardens are kept to high standards. i advise that u take moskito repellant tho i got bit a few times OUCH! i also advise to change money as you need it and go to the shop inside the hotel the rate is better one of the shop keepers is very friendy he is called george! i have to give it to the bulgarians they try there hardest to speak english as much as possible. go there is lovely but b=not much night life thats in the toen about a ten minuet walk or get the noddy train that runs untill midnight
