Location: Golden Sands resort is situated 19 km north-east of the city of Varna, 490 km east of Sofia. North of the resort is the village of Kranevo and south is Chaika holiday village. Golden Sands merges with St. St. Konstantin and Elena Resort and Riviera resort.

The climate and the beach: Golden Sands is the largest resort on the Northern Black Sea coast (more than 1800 hectares). The area is famous for the purest sand on the Black Sea coast. The resort is abundant in lush vegetation and with the numerous bushes and trees it resembles a real park.

Hot mineral water springs and lush woodlands cascading from the Franga Plateau, forming the Golden Sands Nature Park, turn the town into one of the most popular tourist spots. The average air temperature from May to September is 18 - 28°C, and the water temperature is 18-24°C.

The combination of a specific climate and mineral waters is successfully used for treatment of arthritis, stress conditions, neurosis, chronic pharyngitis, bronchitis, asthma.

Golden Sands is marked as a Blue Flag resort, that is the beaches and the sea at Golden Sands are kept clean and pollution free. There are a lot of sun beds on the beach. You can pay to use one of them or you can place your beach towel at the free zones behind the sun beds.

Entertainment: Golden sands offers abundant of activities for all ages. There are casinos, bars, mini-golf playground, horse-carriages and attractive carts, water slides, over 20 outdoor swimming pools. Golden Sands offers an aqua park and plenty of water sports to practice.

The Aladzha rock monastery is situated 4 km from Golden Sands. It is one of the most interesting landmarks on the Black Sea. There are also multiple landmarks in the nearby city of Varna, such as the Archaeological Museum, the Dolphinarium, the Aquarium, the Maritime Museum, etc.

Sport: Golden Sands provides its guests with diverse sports options. Diving centers, tennis courts, volleyball fields, platforms for archery, a bowling hall, paintball, over 30 tennis courts, volleyball courts and basketball fields, horse riding and a bowling alley are available here. There are good conditions for yachting, water skiing, balloons rides, surfing, jet skiing and water parachuting.

Transport: The transport between Golden Sands and the city of Varna is well organized. One of the advantages of Golden Sands is being very close to Varna International Airport, that is why flights are available during the whole year and there are regular bus lines from the city. Apart from the bus lines connecting the resort to the city and to the airport, there are a lot of minibuses and private taxis.
