Sozopol welcomes you to Apollonia Festival of Arts
2 years of sunny Sozopol festivities, spring musical spree and vivid memories of intellectual discussions ... The festival starts September, 1st and will continue till September, 10th. The events will take place at the Cultural Centre of Sozopol, the Archaeological Museum, the Art Gallery, Apollonia Amphitheatre and UBB Jazz Club. There will be tons of music, theatre performances, art and photo exhibitions, literary nights, summer cinema, workshops and master classes and you will also have great opportunity of meeting musicians, actors, writers and poets. The Apollonia Festival of Arts endeavours to present only the best to the audience – premieres of high standards are featured in the programme. You can enjoy the achievements of prominent Bulgarian artists and new creative ideas of the younger generation. Apollonia Art Foundation was established in 1991, succeeding the Academy for Art that was founded in 1984. The idea belongs to the eminent musician and public figure Prof. Dimo Dimov and his friends and adherents – artists, musicians, directors, actors, poets and writers. More than 20 years the Foundation is producing two of the most celebrated annual festivals in Bulgaria – The Spring Musical Festival in Sofia and the Festival of Arts in Sozopol.
