The first organised foreign groups arrived to the coastal town of Sozopol on April 25. The first group to spend its vacation in the Bulgarian coastal resort came from Russia and will remain 14 days in Bulgaria. Summer season 2007 started earlier than usual and will last until the end of September. The longer duration is expected to aid the success of local tourism companies. Sozopol expects the visits of tourists from Hungary Slovakia, France, the UK and the Scandinavian countries, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported. Bookings are predicted to be three times higher than the ones for the previous season, Sozopol tourism council said. The town will feature 50 new tourism facilities this summer. Most of them are family-type hotels, vacation villages and villas.
