The managements of the Black Sea resorts of Albena and Sunny Beach report on a strong summer season. Albena saw a 6 percent growth year-on-year. The greatest growth - close to 20 percent – came from the German market. The growth of Russian tourists is 6 percent. The number of Romanian and Scandinavian tourists was up too.

Currently 90 percent of the beds in Sunny Beach is occupied. Some hotels are booked by end-September when Romanian and mostly Israeli tourists are expected. The latter are coming to celebrate the Jewish New Year in the Bulgarian resort. Figures released by Sunny Beach hotel managers indicate that both Bulgarian and foreign holiday makers tend to buy all inclusive packages. The Bulgarian offers for this type of holiday have become cheaper compared to Turkish offers.
