Burgas airport passenger traffic up 1.5% May

The airport in Bulgarian Black Sea town Burgas reported a 1.5% increase to 101,510 passengers in May '07, German airport operator Fraport said in a traffic report for the first quarter of '07. The company operates Bulgaria's Burgas and Varna airports under a concession arrangement. Traffic at Varna experienced a 9.3 percent year-on-year dip in traffic to 98,089 passengers in May. Total cargo throughput (airfreight and airmail) for the six Fraport locations √ Frankfurt, Frankfurt-Hahn, Antalya, Lima, Burgas and Varna, increased by 2.1% to 197,865 metric tons.
