this is the worst hotel that ihave stayed in a long time rooms basic not to clean only got clean towels 3times in the 2 weeks we stayed there and what can i say about the food? i can only discribe it as crap, and the staff well 1or 2 were quite friendly but the others could not be bothered to be pleasant not many of them spoke english so they were not very helpful, i would not recomend this hotel to an enemy, no entertainment at all no childrens club nothing for them to do quite a boring hotel has anyone stayed in this hotel and what are your comments.

Date of Stay: 17/09/05 - 03/10/05 Lovely Hotel, clean & well presented, great location, only downfall was the rudeness & ignorance of the reception staff. Food was very repetitive so tended to eat out more. Entertainment team exceptional & worked hard as were the cleaning staff.

Panorama Hotel - St Constantine (Sveti Konstantin) August 2005 The hotel is a couple of hundred yards from the beach, which is down a lot of steps. If you have walking difficulties this could be a problem, otherwise it will keep you fit. The hotel is built on the side of a hill. Reception is on the third floor, which is ground level when you enter from the road. The second floor and especially the first floor have restricted views, particularly as there are a lot of tall trees between the hotel and the sea. Take the "Guaranteed Sea View" with a pinch of salt. There are a lot of German tourists so Bulgarians speak German very well but little English. This usually doesn't matter too much but can be frustrating if you have a problem. Good Points The hotel is one of the better three star hotels I have stayed in. The staff, with the exception of the reception staff, are friendly and helpful. The public areas of the hotel are pleasant. The rooms are quite nice, clean and have fridges. Although there is no aircon the rooms did not become unbearably hot and day temperatures were about 33C while we were there. It was necessary to leave your door open at night though. The hotel masseur is excellent. The bar stays open as long as you want and drinks are inexpensive. The snack bar is good too, for during the day. Bad Points The bottom of the hotel smelt damp and musty in places. It was easy to get onto the end balcony on the second floor (201) and several rooms were robbed, along that level, while people slept. The first floor has secure mesh doors added so is safer. The pool looked uninviting as it wasn't possible to see the bottom. The chairs outside are plastic garden furniture and two collapsed under guests while we were there. The restaurant food wasn't to our liking and a few people had stomach upsets. Overall there wasn't anything particularly nasty. There are a lot worse hotels, some nearby. Ok for the money!! Other points The Bulgarian people are wonderful and you never get hassled on the markets or in shops. The tourists are predominantly German, so everywhere goes very quiet at 10:30pm - 11:00pm. You'll get the best exchange rate in the middle of the Varna shopping area. Take English money and swap it there, watch out for pickpockets though. It's about 50p for a packet of Bulgarian cigs, which are pretty good, and Ј2 for a bottle of vodka. Restaurants are inexpensive. Shop around for clothes, prices vary. ALWAYS ALWAYS check the price of a taxi before getting in, or you can be in for a very nasty shock!!!

We stayed at the panorama between 6th and 13th march 2005 ,it was very comfortable and warm the meals were very good even if a little traditional (Bulgarian). The facilities were good, bar was generally good value.a 10 minute taxi ride into pamps about 12 lev, staff very helpful and friendly, the rooms were good and most importantly the beds were comfortable, ski depot 1 a 5 minute bus ride (free) at 9.25am depot 2 10 mins, well recommended if you like being set back from the centre ,Balkan holidays rep costas (constantine) is very helpful his advice is free and he does not pressure you to book anything, all round i could not see anyone dissapointed with the PANORAMA .ps the only bad point was the late arrival and early departure meals the bread is orrible with a capital O

January 2005. Just come back from an excellent holiday staying at Hotel Panorama. The food was good, always buffet style but a good choice(just be aware that Bulgarians like their food luke warm so if you want it hotter just ask for it to be microwaved, they are very accommodating). Ski school was excellent, I was a beginner going with 3 rusty-ish skiers. They all booked the intermediate class but were all assessed on day one and all 3 put into separate classes to suit their abilities; apparently there are 9 different levels, A1 (mine) being the beginners. So everyone benefited from the more focussed lessons. The instructors were all excellent, particularly ours, Joy, Ivan, Gorge & Cotsi, they really want to help you learn/improve. And if you wish to change classes at all, you can always move up or down accordingly. (However they won't move you up if they don't feel you are able). You cannot ski up to Hotel Panorama anymore (victim of its own success, more hotels being built have cut off that access) but it's not a problem because the hotel lays on free buses to and from the Ski Centre which is only just down the road, so it's just as easy. Drinking is very cheap (if you stick to local beer and spirits, which we did and they were excellent). Have a Kamenitsa (similar to Becks)in the bar after ski-ing (approx 0.95p for a litre bottle), Pepper runs the bar there and she is brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. And don't forget to visit the Mary Jane nightclub in the hotel, it's happy hour from 10.00pm - 12.00 midnight.2 drinks for the price of one, so 2 long cocktails cost approx Ј2.70. Everyone is so helpful, hotel staff, mini bus drivers, instructors, ski-school staff and the guys operating the chair lifts who were always there to slow it down or even stop it when I needed a bit of extra assistance. All in all an excellent holiday, we're definitely going back!

Not the ritz by any means - but we all ( a group of Irish ) enjoyed our holiday immensely. The Tavern is a great place for a bit of crack with the locals - have a drink with the ski-instructors who drink here - Hi Angels x2, and Silko ! The food for half board wasn't great ( that was a few years ago ) - the standard of food was better in the tavern though. Skis are fitted in the hotel lobby on the 1st morning and free storage - U can ski to the door in the evening - which I loved. Would definately go back.
