Shabla Lighthouse Marks the International Year of the Sea lighthouses

The occasion is the International year of the sea lighthouses. Day of the open doors in one of the most interesting sites on the Black sea – the eastern end of Bulgaria – the lighthouse in Shabla. Special leaflets with the history of the oldest lighthouse on the Black sea. The lighthouse also offers the tallest tower, rising at 32 m over the surrounding area and is painted in two colours. Shabla cape is a very important guideline along the western shore of the Evksinski Pont and scientists presume, that the cape was secured by a fire guards ever since 5th century BC.
