I was last in Bulgaria 2 years ago and yes it has changed a lot but its not bad changes. There are a lot of restaurants and bars and with being 6 lads we tried our fair share of these pubs. Some of the highlights were jamboree bar for the karaoke great laugh and DINO was a great host. Also Central bar after 12 as that is where DINO does his 2nd karaoke night. There are so many bars that i cant possibly name them all. It is so multi cultural this year, at one point we had a drink in our hotel with germans, bulgarians, italians, israelis, welsh english and scottish. The Ivana Palace hotel is a nice hotel, basic rooms but its what we required, great staff at the hotel, always there to look after you. You can meet a lot of brits in Fat Cats, good pub, slightly more expensive for drinks but great atmosphere and bingo with prizes around 400-900 levs a night. For the young and young at heart there is amigos bars, club tropicana all free entry free shots and cheap drinks, 5 lev for local drinks. A trip to Nessebar is a must, the market is great and it is slightly cheaper up that part again. Try the back streets for some traditional food and atmosphere. Khans tent was the absolute highlight of the holiday. great food and the band were fantastic, i dont want to spoil it but the acts are truly superb and worth the entrance. Also finished for this year is cacoa beach, a great party that runs into the very very early hours, went to the closing party, a lot of bulgarians go so it is a different atmosphere to some of the SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS pubs and clubs on the island. Great night though and the DJs were amazing. Club wise the Iceberg is a great club, never made it to orange a lot more expensive than 2 years ago but heard some good and bad reviews, Mania Disco i think its called the new one is supposed to be a great night, its on the main road and heard all good things about it. Some good tips would be to use the number 1 bus on main road for travel, 1 lev for bus to nessebar, we used this a lot as opposed to the taxis. good focal points along the way too. Anymore questions then feel free to fire away i will try answer them. Hope everyone has a good holiday who is going out there and i hope all that have been had a great time. |
