(---.bb.sky.com) posts : 655 Date : 08-24-10 00:09 Flights on time Outward very bumpy for half an hour in bound a little bumpy. Transfers fine . Hotel Pomorie. We stayed room only and thank god we did I have never seen so many people want to be moved from a hotel because of the food and what they call snacks that are on offer. Rooms. Well no air con and with temperatures not getting below 26 degrees on a night for the first week after hitting 40 by day it was very difficult . The rooms are basic but ok but there was a mass run to reception to get a fan for rooms and if they dont have any they tell you to go and buy one. Also with the rooms if you are a family please ask for a quiet room nearer pool as we were first put right opposite Lazur nightclub but got moved immediatley. The Balkan rep ***** has got a clue and is not intrested in any complaints. Pool is the best we have been in for the last 5 visits. It was so warm and very well kept. Entertainment was the best part of this holiday. Daily games with water polo Beach Volleyball Cocktail games Darts and Table tennis This is all organised by Vladi Bouijo Yana and co and they made my 2 weeks real fun. They have a kiddie disco at 8-30pm then do a show themselves at 9-30pm. Eating out. Went to our regular haunts this year. Djannys, Condor , Garfields. Fat Cat and best of all in the hot first week FAR A. Did not go to sharkies this year which was a shame but wife not overly keen on the look of it. Excursions. We did the family picnic through Balkan. Khans tent which was 25 levs cheaper than balkan and we also went Quad Biking in the mountains as well as the Go Karts . Suffered really bad with stomach cramps for 2 weeks . Not food poisoning but just couldnt pin point what caused it. Weather first week 40 by day 26 by night. 2nd week 31 by day 22 by night. Only cloudy day was yesterday when ready to leave. Sea Temperature 30 degrees last week. Power cuts twice last week but only lasted 10 minutes or less. Saw a few beggars but gave them cold shoulder as well as fruit sellers . Heard a few people ripped of by changing money in street and gettiing useless yugoslav notes in return. One guy lost 150 notes. Always change in crown. Went to Nessebar and St vlas and had a great time. All in all a good 2 weeks but i would advise do not book all inclusive in Pomorie hotel as i think 80 percent of people were disgusted by what they were given. The pool Bar is not all inclusive so you have to walk a little bit to get a drink to take back to your sunbeds. ***** Representatives name removed by admin. |

As CarolV says we stayed in the Pomorie some years ago (before they went AI) and ive always advised people to avoid rooms on the front because of the noise from Lazur, especially at 6am ish when they leave the nightclub. About time they installed air condition, we hired a fan for the 2 weeks we were there! Always advise people to book excursions in resort...much cheaper than with Balkan rep. WLxx |
