Toilet facilities, are they similar to Turkey and Greece as in, no paper down the loo? I know they are basic questions, sorry, but would be good to know. I have seen/heard mixed reports, from looking at the website and from various people who have been to Bulgaria on holiday. I am going to make the most of this holiday though and will report back on my return. Thank you all for your comments to my previous questions, sunny Elinite, here we come.    |

Q 1 yes there are mossy,s use a repelant. Q 2 yes when not in hotel,s / complex use bin,and take loo roll out with you. sorry wrong order! Q can you drink the water better to buy bottled but I always use the tap watter for the kettle. love ally .x. |

(---.range86-159.btcentralplus.com) posts : 2951 Date : 09-03-10 17:55 Hi Jan, it is safe to put loo roll down the toilets in the Elenite Complex but as Ally said maybe not outside, most places will have a sign asking you to put it in the bin. Elenite complex has the large water bottles for drinking from and use bottled water for them, however, in the village main pool area I once seen them replacing the water bottle and water was pouring out of it before they placed it on the machine. I always buy bottled water from the shops to drink on holiday, it is really cheap, in my opinion it is better safe than sorry. We have never been bothered with mossies at Elenite in the 4 years we have been going there. Although you didn't ask just thought I would say we have never had a problem with the ice for drinks. I hope you enjoy Elenite as much as we do and I am looking forward to your report as not many on here go to Elenite so it will be good to read what someone else thinks about it. Water is clean and drinkable but you can have barrels of water at any corner, if you like. Toilet standard has gone up, no probs. Enjoy your holiday and do not forget the sunblocker |

Better to be safe than sorry i say, just answering a question, is the water safe to drink answer is NO, and it is cheap enough to buy anyway. You look in all the shops they have the very large water on a cooler for people to drink. Carolv |

Last Friday we visited and also spent the night with friends in a small village called Atia, not far from Sozopol. Their house very remote, in the forest. Everything they used was home produced, even the bread. The milk was straight from the cow BUT even they used bottled water. WLx |
