From ricky aston From england, sent on 03 June 2006 superb place has almost everything for almost everyone childrens activities are a bit limited but the helios spa hotel where we stayed has chikldrens places and games etc,one tip DO NOT go all inclusive as meals are very limited and a bit poor of quality even in the top hotels, four great places to eat are the family owned exotic restaurant at the back of the ambassador a small childs menagerie in there give the staff my best who are extrememely pleasant the lights bistro they do great pizzas, the genara restaurant the mixed grill is brill give Josh my best, and the AM ring where they serve the cheapest and the best beer and a very lovely young lady serves it to you, you can also catch the bus to varna from there finally the lipitzka lipo where they have an excellent duo on and the toilets are free as they are in the am ring and the exotic |

From Stacey From England, sent on 30 April 2006 Hi Annette I have stayed at the Kaliakra Palace four times now and would happily go back. There are good and bad points to the hotel - it just depends on what you are looking for from the hotel. The rooms are of a good size and are cleaned on a daily basis. I have had a regular style room and an apartment - both are of a good standard for European hotels. If you have children, then I would recommend the apartment style rooms, as they are bigger, if your just going as a couple then the standard room is ample. The meals aren't brilliant, but at a push you can always find something to get by.....or there are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants and cafes nearby. The redeeming feature of this hotel is BREAKFAST TIME!!! The location of the hotel provides one of the nicest outlooks whilst having breakfast/dinner. If you get the tables outside on the patio area you can overlook the beach whilst watching the sunrise. The breakfast is certainly better than the evening meals. Location - again this depends on what you want. Golden Sands is in two parts really, busy, party, clubs etc one end and then the more relaxed and low key. Kaliakra is in-between both, it's not in the centre of all the loud bars/shopping area, but it isn't miles from anywhere......it would take a nice leisurely 10min walk (along the promenade with more shops and bars etc) to be in the heart of all the action. But that doesn't mean that there isn't plenty to see and do where the Kaliakra is based. There is a little train, which runs along the promenade and will pick up and drop off outside the Kaliakra if you didn't feel like walking. If you would like any more information or would like to see some images, just leave another message on here for me. |
