UK's largest tour operator awarded Majestic Hotel & Residence, a four-star vacation complex in ownership of Bulgaria's Bora Consult company, the Gold Metal Award in the Best Summer Sun Accommodation in Europe category, the company said in a statement. The complex won the competition against hundreds of similar four-star hotels, among which Italy, France, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bulgaria. The hotel has a bed capacity of 2100 and packages are sold through foreign tour operators. Load capacity during the summer season is above 90 per cent. The ceremony took place on November 13 this year at the London Tower. “The award is all the more valuable because Bulgaria has been sliding down the European tourist destination rankings,” CEO of Bora Consult, Michail Popov, told The SofiaEcho on November 14. Majestic Hotel & Residence is situated in Slanchev Briag, on the southern Black Sea. It is situated on the front line of the beach, a four-star hotel, two blocks of apartments for sale, a garden with 35 000 sq m of greenery, five bars, four restaurants, eight conference halls, an exotic SPA centre and includes a multifunctional sports facility.
