“Sea of Wine” Celebrations in Pomorie Beach Resort
For sixth year in a row Pomorie became summer capital of wine. The yearly celebrations “Sea of Wine” are sponsored by Pomorie Municipality, Festa Wine Company and Pomorie Library. The sea of wine will traditionally be offered for free to the people at the central square of Pomorie till September. The masters in producing wine in the region – Festa “Black Sea Gold”, Pomorie will be presented with a stand, where the best bottled wine of the area will be sold. The connoisseurs will have the chance to make a wine tour and winetaste at the famous wine complex “Via Pontika”, situated at the entrance of Pomorie. Special competition for poems, devoted to wine and sea will be organized as well. PROGRAM of “Sea of Wine” Celebrations 05 – 12 August: “National Week of the Sea” at the central square 7.00 pm – Bazaar of wine producers – winetasting and promotions 16 August: Central Square 7.00 pm – Bazaar of wine producers – winetasting and promotions + brass music 9.00 pm – Concert of new talents from Pomorie and the region 19 August: Pomorie library “Prosveta” 6.00 pm – “A sigh from the sea” – exhibit of Iliya Iliev’s paintings Central Square 7.00 pm - Bazaar of wine producers – winetasting and promotions 9.00 pm – Spectacle-demonstration of taekwon-do club “BagaTur” 23 August: Central Square 7.00 pm – Bazaar of wine producers – winetasting and promotions + brass music 8.30 pm – International Folklore Festival – folklore troupes from Bulgaria and abroad
