Hotels in Nessebar and Sunny Beach became part of the project for construction of effective energy systems and implementation of alternative energy sources. 25 Bulgarian Black sea hotels are already part of RELACS. The green network supplies exchange of good practices and promotes interesting forms of energy supply. Experts informed the hoteliers form the owners union in Sunny Beach with some interesting practices from Greece and Spain. They presented interesting ideas for the use of solar collectors for heating of the waters in the swimming pools and etc. They also presented the idea of the contraction of a local energy system with biomass, which could supply more hotels. Another aspect are the systems for monitoring and energy control, Such systems already follow the temperature and lights in the rooms, corridors and common areas in the hotels and regulate them automatically. This could save 20% of the energy expenses. The tourism industry already realizes the need of control of the carbon impact over the nature. Tourists form the northern European countries are especially sensitive on the subject.
