Honey Fest Starts in Nesebar

For a sixth successive year the Black sea town of Nessebar will host an international honey festival. This year, the event is under the name “The Bulgarian beekeeping in EU”, informed bourgasINFO.com The official start of the festival in on September 1. Till September 9, th participants will discuss two main topics: how to get EU subsidies in order to improve the quality of the offered honey and what are the conditions to get funding. Special guest will be the general secretary of the Albanian beekeeping union, who will present good practices in Albania and will exchange experience with his Bulgarian colleagues. The sea resort guests will be able to try natural honey foods and drinks. The laureates of the fest will be announced after the the annual competition for a Honey Queen.

      In September 2006 my family and i visted Nessebar for the day whilst on holiday in Bulgaria.The Honey Fest was in the town and was very interesting,i purchased many products from the stall holders and would like to know if the festival will be running again in 2008, i would very much like to visit again and buy some more products. Is there anyone who can email me some more information on the Honey Fest
