They are among the creators of the modern outlook of a thrash metal and formed it as a genre in heavy music. Overkill is formed in the early 80s of the last century in New Jersey, USA, and quickly turned into a real phenomenon of thrash scene together with bands like Metallica and Anthrax. Over the years, fierce metal band issued a number of albums filled with much energy and aggression, as the greatest glory the group reached with the release of the album 'Horrorscope' (1991), which is considered best to this day. Merciless Overkill will tread triumfaly the stage of Thrash Till Death to the major role of headliner of the fest. They come in Bulgaria at the invitation of Joker media and Kavarna Municipality, and because of its numerous fans in our country. At the end of the last year, the band issued a new album - 'Immortalis', energetic, and brutally aggressive. This is Overkill’s fifteen albums and is recorded consisting of: Bobby Blitz - vocals, D.D. Verni - bass guitar, Derek 'The Skull' Tailer - rhythm guitar, Dave Linsk - lead guitar, and the recently joined drummer Ron Lipnicki. All the songs in the album 'Immortalis' are written by Bobby Blitz and D.D. Verni, in the song 'Skull and Bones' as a guest - vocalist participates Randy Blythe by the group Lamb of God. Aggressive metals from San Francisco - Exodus, which undoubtedly will be one of the nails of this year's festival, also come for the first time in the country. The group was founded by Kirk Hammet and Tom Hunting in 1982. It is interesting that at the beginning they spread their music underground and with great success. A year later, Kirk Hammet is invited by Metallica to take the place of Dave Mustaine, who already had problems with alcohol. After this change in the composition, Exodus issued their debut album - 'Bonded By Blood' (1985), which today is one of the greatest albums in history of thrash. Before they record the second album 'Pleasures of the Flesh', the vocal Paul Baloffs also leave, and his place occupies Steve 'Zetro' Souza. Over the years Exodus played with all major metal bands such as Pantera, Anthrax, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Megadeth, Metallica and Body Count. It is not a secret that the pioneers in explosive metal are inspired and played a major role in shaping bands like Metallica, Testament, Death Angel and others. After twice of disintegration, the group has finally collected in September 2001, to support Testament in emblematic show 'Thrash of the Titans', together with the Legacy, Anthrax, S.O.D and Death Angel. Canadians from 3 Inches of Blood are gathered in 2000 on the second concert of their old group, after which decided to remain together. Speed and power metal band is distinguished by its two vocals - falsetto and streaming vocals. In 2006, they warm up Iron Maiden concert in California, after a release of their latest album 'Fire Up the Blades', played on Ozzfest 2007. The fans in Kavarna will also hear them for the first time on home land. Bulgaria's participation in this year's Thrash Till Death will be in the face of Last Hope. The band already has experience in joint concerts with foreign groups. In 2003, they are on one stage with New York’s kings of hard rock Madball, in the same year they convulse Thessaloniki, together with the British hard metals Stamping Ground. In Sofia Last Hope are support of the cult Anthrax. Their last album 'My Own Way' is considered the best that the band is presently made. In the previous two editions Thrash Till Death Fest has been visited by the bands Napalm Death, Destruction and Mystic Circle (in 2006), but in 2007 on its stage fixed Brazilian legends Sepultura and Dark Funeral.
