A rock alley would be created in Kavarna’s city park, Kavarna mayor Tsonko Tsonev said. The proposal would be made during the next session of the city council, Darik Radio reported. The alley would be one of the places used for popularising the rock festivals that traditionally take place in Kavarna. It will feature sculptures of the famous performers, who held concert in the town. Ronnie James Dio and Ian Gillan would likely be the first two rock performers with their own sculptures in the Bulgarian rock alley. Additional measures to popularise rock in the Kavarna include the painting of building facades with the faces of international celebrities. Varna artists Maria Stoeva will be responsible for the artwork. Each painting will have dimensions of 50x30 metres.
