Kavarna Dance Festival 2011
In the last couple of years Kavarna has turned into the Rock Capital of the Balkans. The city had guest over 40 world renowned artists, including Dio, Manowar, Deep Purple, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Accept, Nazareth, Saxon, Billy Idol, Twisted Sister, Aria, Filip Kirkorov and many others, as well as lot of bulgarian artists like B.T.R., Signal, Hipodil and others. Besides rock festival, the city has a yacht port, a fishing base, a spacious beach and resort complex, split apart along the bay formed by the small river with the charming name "Valley of the Orioles". Cut through limestone rocks and the entire coast are very picturesque, especially when viewed from the sea. In the summer of 2011., along with the traditional rock festival in Kavarna will take place and the first Summer Dance Festival Kavarna 2011. In the penultimate weekend of July (22 and 23) of the first electronic dance-musicial event in the famous rock capital city, some of the hottest names in the global club scene will unleash like Chris Lake, Nicky Romero, Audiowhores and 20 more Bulgarian and foreign DJs and producers, and vocalists such as Terri B! and Gerald G.
