From I.l From Norway, sent on 14 July 2009 We went with a German company, so I knew the most of the enterttainment would be in a diffrent language than English. We had big beautiful rooms, but the extra bed for the children was hard to lay on. The food was ok, but after 2 weeks, you get really tired of the same food, day after day. One of the biggest issues, was that they played loud music form early morning to late nights. I felt I sometimes lived in a disco. My mom at 75 years old, stayed at her hotel room all they long, because she felt the music was to loud. She could still hear the music all the way into her room at the 9th floor. There were music by the pool area, restaurant, reseption area, all techno and pop. We felt there was no place to hide. We asked them to turn down a little, but it din`t happend. For those who likes music all day long, I would recomend it. I don`t think it was for family with young kids with old grandmas. |

From R Mills From England, sent on 11 August 2007 We stopped at the Park Golden Beach Hotel between 26/7/07 and 9/08/07. We were one of the only English Families in the Hotel and the main were French and German. The room was large and clean. It had a TV and Fridge with Mini Bar. The prices of the mini bar were cheap but if you used the fridge it would cost about Ј5.50 per week. The security safe in the room was about Ј10 per week. Shampoo/shower gel was provided in the room and we had a fantastic view of the sea. There was air conditioning in the room. The room was cleaned daily but the standard on most occasions was poor. In the two weeks the bedding was changed once! On one occasion we had to call the staff due to a problem with ants in the room. After one week myself and 9 year old Son fell ill with a stomach bug. He was sick on the carpet and bedding in the night. We asked the hotel to assist us with a cleaner but they stated they had nothing to clean the carpet with. I ended up having to use shower gel and the towels to clean the mess up until the morning. The following morning we asked a cleaner to clean the carpet but she didn’t and we was told that we would have to pay for the towels we’d used. It was only after we complained to our rep that a cleaner made some token gesture to clean the carpet and they did not charge us. The smell was still there for the remainder of the holiday. The food was poor in the restaurant. Once the food was put out the heating was inadequate and went cold. The choice was poor and when some choices ran out they were not immediately replaced. One morning we were the first in for breakfast. I turned the toasting machine on and put some bread in. The machine had not been cleaned from the previous day and caked in burnt cheese and oil so much so that the toast stuck to the machine. The stomach bug myself and Son caught I’m certain was as a result of poor hygiene and under cooking since we had shared a burger in the Hotel pool bar the same day and had not eaten at any other restaurant up to that point. There were games throughout the day at the pool and the staff was very friendly. At about 3pm half the terrace around the pool was in the shade. The sunbeds were free and you could rent a mattress for about 40p. There were lifeguards around the outdoor and indoor pool. The children’s club did not really cater for the English and were really just for the French and Germans. The evening entertainment was very poor in the hotel. Musicals and comedy were in German. I spoke with a bartender who stated he was paid 2 lev (80p) per hour which may explain why some of the staff try short changing you by various methods. The British reps in the hotel were good and very helpful. There are many steep steps from the hotel to the beach and main resort which wasn’t a problem for us, but difficult if you had prams etc.. Overall the resort was excellent but I would only recommend stopping in the hotel B&B. The facilities were good and drinks cheap. The night entertainment in the hotel was poor but there is plenty of stuff to do and see close by. We would definitely return to Bulgaria albeit not at this hotel. |

From A. Fryer From Isle of Man, sent on 08 July 2006 I went to Bulgaria with my mum on my first visit to the country, the rooms were fantastically clean and spacious, the only fault was that there were only two english channels on the tv, sometimes they would have been voiced over with german! The lobby bar staff are excellant, miro, ivan and didi are so friendly and always put a smile on you're face, they will go out of their way for you! The views from your room are breathtaking. The restaurant had a variety of foods for breakfast and dinner, but also had the reliable foods for children which i thought was good. The prices for things inside the hotel were very reasonable aswell. I would definately recommend this hotel for tourists, there are alot of steps (267 or something like that) down to the sea front but it isnt leg breaking work! There is an animation group for the kids so they wont get bored and the pool is a good size with brilliant sunbathing spots around it. I think i will definately be going back next year or the year after to visit again. |
