From Mary Goossens From Holland, sent on 04 October 2006 The Duchess is a very quaint hotel with friendly staff and lovely, immaculately clean rooms, very good beds with new mattrassess. The hotel is situated in the renowned park close to both the beach and the city centre. The manager of the hotel is Valeri and he is an extremely friendly and obliging gentleman who can tell you anything you wish to know about Bulgaria. He can advise you on what attractions you should visit. The manager put us into touch with a taxi driver who spent 5 days travelling criss-cross through Bulgaria showing us all the hot spots. It was quite an adventure and we were shown a great deal of the country. We go next year back and make a trip again. Should anyone like more information, feel free to write me an email. De ligging van het hotel is zeer gunstig in het park, niet ver van het strand en het centrum. De manager van het hotel, Valeri,'n zeer vriendelijk en voorkomend man, kan heel veel vertellen over Bulgarije en advies geven over wat men beslist moet gaan bezichtigen. De manager heeft ons in contact gebracht met 'n taxichauffeur. Daar hebben wij 'n 5 daagse rondreis in zijn mee taxi gemaakt, hetgeen 'n enorme belevenis was. De taxichauffeur heeft ons heel veel laten zien. Voor meer info kan men mij mailen. Dit hotel is 'n aanrader. |

From Franklin Orosco From USA, sent on 07 June 2004 I enjoyed a four-night stay at this quaint, clean hotel, and I would recommend it. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is quiet and close to the beach. It is easy to find and is a 15-minute walk to downtown or a two-minute walk to taxis. There's a continental breakfast buffet in the morning and a bar always open. Though it has but 10 rooms or so, the service is fine and it's kept up immaculately. Much better than large, impersonal hotels downtown. |
