From Ted Hattori From USA, sent on 23 May 2003 We liked the room (apartment) because of the size of the room and the high ceiling. Overall service of the hotel was ok. Staff were friendly and felt the warm welcome. Not knowing very well about the hotel standards of Bulgaria, however, I can comment the followings according to my experience of staying at other hotels (4-star or higher) in the other countries: 1) shower head location needs to be corrected so that the floor don't get wet every time I take shower 2) Air condition was not working, so, it needs to be fixed. 3) There was something wrong with your credit card machine. The staff blamed about my VISA card, but, it was accepted elsewhere except at your hotel. 4) Breakfast selection and arrangement need some improvement. 5) King size bed needs to be "true" king size, not just putting 2 smaller beds together. |

From Mr. Alan Salt From United Kingdom, sent on 10 February 2003 Early February, 2003 The location of the hotel was quite convenient and it is indeed new and still quite fresh.The rooms we found somewhat unwelcoming, however. The general decor is blue and the standard of fittings very much like those from a DIY store - utilitarian and flimsy. The bathroom facilities on the other hand were good - with a walk-in shower. Major drawbacks from our point of view were: a. The hotel does not accept payment by credit card and we were only informed about this on the morning of our departure. We just had time to get to a bank. b. The qaulity of the breakfast was poor. Squash instead of fruit juice, awful coffee and a very limited choice of items. The worst aspect was the lack of any staff presence in the dining room for most of the time. No assistance was given and service was hardly with a smile - very reminiscent of former Eastern Bloc hospitality. The dining room itself was more like a conference centre and with just as little atmosphere. In short, we were very glad to get out into the town. c. Having been assured that a double bed (one large bed) would be available in one of the rooms, we arrived only to be told that this was not available in the hotel at all. We would not choose to stay at this hotel again. We simply did not feel all that comfortable. |
