From Kellie Allen From Scotland, sent on 02 July 2008 Just back from a 2 week stay in the amfora hotel, and i was less than impressed. The food is DISGRACEFUL, and considering we were all inclusive, I had to spend a lot more money than I had budgeted for due to eating out every night. The rooms are basic - no air conditioning and we were lucky if the shower actually worked some nights. Reception was a nightmare, they dont understand the most basic of words. For example, asking for the IRON - it took me 10 minutes speaking to 3 different people to get it! How many different ways are there to say iron!? I DO NOT recommend this hotel |

From a noor From UK, sent on 25 September 2007 Well what can i say! I have just returned from a weeks all inclusive stay at this Hotel and it was not a good experience at all, the staff were RUDE! We were messed around at meal times, on one evening we arrived at dinner at 7.50pm to find the time had changed from 9pm to 8pm the next night half the dining room had been reserved for the Hotel guests next door that were on a Russian Oil and Gas convention this meant the tables that were left were in rows of about 20, so there was no option, you either sat with total strangers or ate outside we felt like cattle. It wouldn't of been so bad had the food of been edible. Needless to say we ate out most nights because the food wasn't very appetising, when we tried to complain to say it fell on deaf ears would be a compliment. Please don't feel that you have to take this advice on board but if you want to enjoy your holiday then you would be making a wise decision to book somewhere else. OK you may have to pay a little bit extra but when you take into account the extra money you will spend eating outside it will be worth it. The hotel has 2 bars one all inclusive and if your lucky the barman will actually serve you your whole order before going off to serve someone else, the other is a PAYING bar that also serves cocktails but beware you are not allowed to sit at this bar unless you buy a drink from it! even if there are no other seats available in the lobby, you can always bring in a chair from around the pool but don't expect the staff to get it for you because it's not in their remit. Believe me i did try to make a complaint only to be told "what do you want i can't do nothing". This holiday really is the most awful holiday experience my family have had anywhere and needless to say i would never recommend the AMFORA HOTEL to anyone. |
