Bulgaria's Balchik - Unique European City

In open letter to the public of Balchik, in the Day of Bulgarian revival Leaders, the city received the price Golden Stamp for Unique European City. Other cities that had received this honor are Florence and Strasbourg. The award will be bestowed by NGO's: ‘Official representation of unique settlements in Europe' and ‘European Experts' Forum'. The same organizations already had been awarding Balchik with golden map for saving the ancient historical and cultural heritage. The prize foresees NGO's to provide expert team for realization of the Program for the city's development. Experts will support the municipality in EU projects' preparation and realization, using the unique activities in the region.

  I am very glad that Balchik is now recognized as a Unique EU city and I hope that now Balchik community think about cleaning this charming town from lots of garbadge which really spoils the whole impression!
