Construction in Bulgaria’s Balchik BannedSofiaEcho weekly
Balchik's municipality banned construction works in the municipality's resort areas from May 18 to October 15.
Through the ban, the municipality hopes to ensure quality experience for tourists, Darik Radio reported.
The construction restrictions will be valid for the resort of Albena, the village of Kranevo, the villa zones in the municipality of Balchik and the coastal region of Balchik.
Construction works uncompleted by May 20 will have to stop until the end of the season. Green areas and alleys surrounding those sites will have to be cleaned and restored. Refuse from construction works has to be removed until June 1 the latest.
No construction materials can be stored on the streets, gardens and pavements.
