Albena awarded for the use of renewable energy
“Albena” Ltd won the national competition “Renewable Energy for Tourist Accommodation Buildings”, for responsible and effective management of the energy resources in tourism, Balchik municipality announced. The Balchik municipality will host the official awarding ceremony on January 23d 2013. Most of the hotels in Albena are included in the European network “green hotels” created within the framework of the project “Renewable Energy for Tourist Accommodation Buildings” financed by EU program. Orethan 27 tourist accommodation buildings in Bulgaria and over 110 hotels in Europe are already part of the program. Albena Ltd will now participate in the European competition for the greenest hotel. The winner will be anounced during the ITB exhibition in Berlin at the beginning of March this year.
